WhatsApp To Introduce Paid Subscription For Multi-Device Support

The most popular instant messaging app Whatsapp has introduced a lot of new features like emoji reactions, communities, file sharing limit, large voice calls, and more.

Recently, Whatsapp got a multi-device support feature that helps to connect one account on up to four different devices at once. While connecting the account, you don’t need to keep the smartphone connected to the internet all time. Also, it even works when the smartphone is not around.

The messaging app has now spotted testing a paid feature for Multi-device support. It will let users add more devices to a single account.

At present, one can pair a tablet, computer, and a laptop but not the second smartphone. You can pair only one smartphone at a time.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, a Meta-owned company is working on a new subscription plan for Whatsapp Business users. It is creating a new interface for the Linked Device section.

Wabetainfo claims,  “WhatsApp uses a completely different description for multi-devices in this revamped interface, claiming that you can add multiple devices to the account so different people in the business can all talk to a customer in the same chat.”

The subscription plan will let users link up to 10 devices. At present, the main Whatsapp allows up to 4 devices to link, so this paid service will be an advantage for business accounts.

A screenshot has been shared where Whatsapp says; this function will let people from business talk to a customer in one place. The “Linked Device” section has, “Add multiple devices to tour account so different people in your business can talk to a customer in the same chat.”

The subscription plan might offer more features exclusively which are meant for subscribers. More details are yet to arrive.
