 SEO is growing field in India and hence getting job in SEO is easier than compared to web developer jobs. SEO Salary in India and Job opportunities are growing day by day as company and business owners are becoming aware of Internet industry and its importance for marketing the product. As per my knowledge SEO salary in India is better than web developer.
Many Company gives you good designation and try to negotiate with salary. Never think much of designation while availing new job or while increment rather concentrate more on Salary as money is what will buy bread and butter for you and your family .
I would recommend to start your SEO career with at least 2 agency job and than opt for in house SEO company.  SEO agency will have lot of work as well as mental pressure but this will make you a big player in industry and also salary of SEO agency in India is also better as compared to in house jobs.

In 2015, Your Job As An SEO Isnt Actually SEO

Regardless, the title is accurate in a sense. Yes, you are still responsible for driving organic traffic. That isnt going anywhere. But because the way to drive organic traffic isnt anything like the way we used to drive organic traffic, SEOs have to become more cross-functional. These days, when you say you do SEO, you really do about a million other things that historically arent considered SEO.

If thats the case, then what else is in our job description?

Content Developer
This part of an SEOs job should not come as a surprise to you given how ingrained content is king has become in our heads.

There is no way you can rank well in search engines without good content, and I see more copywriters being directly integrated into the SEO team rather than living on a different team. In many cases, the requirements of being a non-technical SEO now include content writing.

Quality content can be hard to create; its not exactly something you can teach. Theres no formula you can follow (although Nate Dame does have a pretty good list of what makes quality content), and it does take a lot of time (Ive spent 15 minutes on one Facebook post), so dont assume that good content is something we just have lying around.

User Experience Advocate
SEO and user experience (UX) got off on the wrong foot, and I blame SEO. The spammy things we were doing years ago to manipulate the algorithm were the furthest thing from a good user experience, so its no wonder UX professionals hated us.

Things are totally different now. Search engines want to see what users want to see.

Though Google hasnt come out to say that good UX impacts your search rankings, theres a lot of speculation that it will be adding mobile UX into its algorithm. That means that if you want to drive more organic traffic to a page, that page has to provide a good user experience.

Digital Strategists
Over the past year or so, Ive noticed a fundamental change in how SEOs operate specifically the marketing side of SEO, not the technical side.

Were becoming more thinkers than doers. Instead of taking direction from what others have decided will change on the site, were getting more involved in shaping that conversation. If youre not, then you need to push to be.

We spend so much time on the site and so much time obsessing over every data point on how customers are using our site that its completely fair to say we know whats best for the site. Of course, Im not advocating for SEOs to be the sole decision maker, but SEO today means playing a larger role in overall site strategy, and thats something we need to be prepared for.

Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who view SEO in a silo, so its up to us to not pigeonhole ourselves into just keyword research or title tag updates.

Creative Marketer
It used to be so easy to get links: a few directory listings, some press release submissions, a handful of articles posted to EzineArticles. Mindless work, yes, but boy was it easy.

There is definitely no such thing as easy link now. Every link, whether manually or organically acquired, requires a lot of thought and a little bit of work, and we have to be more creative in the way were getting links.

Instead of building links, were building things people naturally want to link to, and thats forcing SEOs to think more like marketers. What does our target audience want?

Thinking like this, youre not creating SEO campaigns or link building campaigns; youre creating marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, boost social mentions, generate PR buzz and yeah, builds some links. Here are some great examples;

The You vs. John Paulson campaign MahiFX ran in 2011 (Moz has a good write-up of the case study).

Expedias Find Yours Campaign 68 linking root domains (LRDs), 196 total links, ~1,000 social shares.

Froonts brilliant GIFS about responsive design 273 LRDs, 2,473 total links, ~11,000 social shares.

Unions employee appreciation day 56 LRDs, 468 total links, ~12,00 social shares. (Sadly, the Vimeo link got all the action, but all the press buzz secured a handful of home page links.)

Obviously, you cant run things like the above by yourself. Youre going to have to rely on other departments and that brings me to probably the most important job of any SEO in 2015.

Cheerleader
One of my boss favorite sayings is, The best SEOs will put themselves out of a job. While thats not exactly motivating me to be the best SEO (I kid), the point is that the best SEOs have done such a good job at educating other teams on SEO that, after a while, there doesnt need to be someone advocating for right thing for SEO because thats naturally been weaved into the fabric of every digital professionals job.

Do I think were ever going to get to that point? Not in the next 10 years, but the fact remains that SEO in theory isnt hard, no matter how many people try to tell you its a Jedi magic trick.

Everything you do online could have some effect on your organic traffic, so SEOs have to rely on other teams to understand how their actions affect our KPIs. You have to rally these evangelists in creative, in social media, in development, in IT, and in copywriting, educating them on how what they do is actually SEO. Thats the only way youre going to be able to meet your goals.

Domain Authority?

Matt Cutts announcement heralds the end of an area, really, because quick-fire guest blogging was one of the last vaguely acceptable techniques by which one could quickly manipulate rankings. While Googles tougher stance has got some online marketers upset, others have applauded Cutts for tightening up this final area in which wild-west-SEOers could ply their trade. Now, almost for the first time since the birth of the internet, the playing field has begun to level out. Webmasters who put time and effort into their design, online communities and content creation are going to set the standard from now on.

What is domain Authority?
Domain authority is a measure of the power of a domain name and is one of many search engine ranking factors. Domain authority is based on three factors: Age, Popularity, and Size.

SEO gurus Moz can be credited with the metric known as DA or domain authority. Mozs own search algorithm gauges the quality of any given site based on a huge complex combination of factors including onsite and offsite, taking in to account things such as diversity of Backlinking domains to come up with a score between 0 and 100. A brand new site, for example, will have 0 whereas a very high authority site might have 80/100. Domain Authority gives those working in the field of online marketing a useful metric by which to consider the apparent quality of any site.

SEO Meta Tags for Every Post in Blogger

SEO Meta Tags for Blogger Post
SEO Meta Tags are most important and useful for our blog's SEO. Meta tags are added to tell search engines what that page is all about. Most important meta tags are the Title and Description of a page. Only these two tags are included in search engines results with site link obviously. As blogs and sites have more than one pages i.e., a blogger blog normally have following pages. Blog home page , post pages, static pages, Labels and archives.

So we cannot use same meta tags for all our pages. Because every page have different content with unique Title and Description. So it is our duty to add different meta tags that perfectly defines our pages to the Search Engines if we want to rank high in the search results.

If we use same meta tags to all of our blog posts, our blog search engine rankings and traffic will be decreased. But, if we add different unique meta tags to different Blog posts, it will make the search engines to know more about our individual blog posts and make them crawl and index our pages better and it also improves our Search engine rankings for sure :)

Well this is the importance of unique meta tags for unique pages. Now lets learn about adding them in your site.

Add Meta Tags for Every Post in Blogger

There are many ways to do this. I'll write each step but the first one is my favourite and I recommend you to apply this method.

Step 1.  Change your blogger settings

Login to Blogger Dashboard >> Select Blog >> Select Settings tab >> Search Preferences

Now Enable search description to Yes.

Write your blog description in the box, it should be limited to 150 characters. Click on Save Changes Button.

Now whenever you create a new post, there will be option for Search Description on the right side. You can write a brief description of every post you are writing.
(This option will be visible after changing search description setting to Yes as described above).

Now we just have to add following code in HTML to add these in our blog.

Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Click Template tab >> Click Edit HTML

Find the following code [Tip: Ctrl+F]
<head>
After/under this line paste the following code.
           <!-- Meta Tags ~  blogtipsuk.com  -->
 <b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription != &quot;&quot;'>
<meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' name='description'/>
</b:if>
 <title><data:blog.pageName/> - <data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
               <!-- /Meta Tags ~   blogtipsuk.com  -->
Now Save Template. Your blog posts will now have Title and Description that you wrote while creating your post.

Step 2. Add blogger pages HTML codes

This step is a little tricky. Why? Because you have to add the HTML codes of blogger pages one by one. Just see the code below that can be used to add meta tag for your blog home page URL.

Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Click Template tab >> Click Edit HTML
Find the following code [Tip: Ctrl+F]
<head>
After/under this line paste the following code.
<b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
 <meta content='Your Blog Description' name='description'/>
<title>Your Blog Title</title> </b:if>
Your blog homepage will now have Title and Description that you wrote in this code in place of RED color. Now Save Template.
You can add other page codes as well see full codes here HTML codes for all blogger pages

Step 3. Add meta tags with URLs

You can add meta tags with specific URLs as well. Just write your desires URL and give that URL specific Title and Description.

Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Click Template tab >> Click Edit HTML
Find the following code [Tip: Ctrl+F]
<head>
After/under this line paste the following code.
<b:if cond='data:blog.url == &quot;Write URL of page&quot;'>
 <meta content='Your page Description' name='description'/>
<title>Your page Title</title> </b:if>
Your blog page will now have Title and Description that you wrote in this code in place of RED color. Now Save Template.

Remember some points

1. Apply only one method. Because writing multiple tags will be of no use.
2. Google and all other Search Engine Bots only take those meta tags in their system which come on top the site i.e., if you have multiple title tags then only one title will be taken by bots which in on the most top.
3. You can see your HTML code by pressing [CTRL + U] , just open your blog link and press CTRL + U this will open your blogs page source. and your html site will open.

Need any assistance, don't hesitate to comment down. Have a good day!

External Linking

Did you know that an external links going out to these high authority sites can boost your site SEO? When search engine spiders crawl your site and see a link and follow it to BBC or Huffington Post, they weight it as a positive. The trick is to find organic ways to link to these sites.
