Google Rolled Out New Update for Its Password Manager

Google rolled out a new update to its in-built password manager with upgrades such as quicker touch to log in and expansion of its password protection feature.

Recently, Google also announced to shut down its Hangouts in November this year, and after this action, the company wants users to use Google chat to replace Hangouts.

As we all know, Google password manager is available for many platforms to keep user’s passwords secure and help them make their accounts stronger. And now its latest update gives more ability.

Password Manager will now be easier to manage because the company has optimized it more for Android, Chrome, or iOS. If you have noticed earlier, it looks different on the platform.

With this update, the company has expanded its Touch-to-Fill feature, which it launched in 2020 for Android and now for other platforms.

And it also introduced a new Touch-to-Login option which will make it easier for users to log in to apps, websites, and other services with a single touch.

Besides, the company is also said to be working on a without password login system known as “passwordless sign-ins” across different devices and browser platforms, and it will arrive later this year.

As we saw earlier in a report from 9to5Google, suggested Google would allow adding a password manager shortcut on the Android home screen, and now after this update, it can be possible.

This shortcut allows you to access it directly, but it might require a password, the same as the lock screen.

Also, as Google said in Google I/O, it is working to make its password system more potent with more protections. This update unveiled generate passwords for your iOS apps, but it is only for iOS users who use Chrome as their default browser.
